DIY

So, my beloved Vera Pink Elephant wallet finally had to be retired (it was falling apart). But I just couldn't bear to part with it so I re-purposed it into a new headband!

I 'm sorry I didn't take pics during the process (next time I do a DIY I def will!!!)

Basically I took the wallet (which was a Travel Wallet in Pink Elephant by Vera Bradley) apart with a seam ripper and small scissors. Be careful when seam ripping though cause I broke my moms seam ripper during this process -lol-

After I had the fabric separated from the wallet base I took the lining (the pink fabric) and covered an old plastic headband with it. I used hot glue to adhere the fabric to the headband.

Finally I cut out the seeds and elephants from the outer fabric (this was the toughest part of the whole project!) and hot glued them on the headband.

That's it! It as super easy and took about an hour from beginning to end. I ended up having a lot of fabric let over, so I'm thinking of what else I can use it for = )
