My List...

Recently I came across a really great idea to make a list of goals. Because when you write things down it makes this more real and more likely to happen. (these are just in random order by the way)

1.) Ballet class--I really really really miss dancing!

2.) Move to London or DC

3.) Travel to Italy, Paris, London

4.) Go to church every Sunday

5.) Graduate Grad school

6.) Get A's and B's in all my Grad classes

7.) Get my dream outreach job at a museum

8.) Brush up on my French (I want to stay fluent)

9.) Do something creative everyday

10.) Live each day with joy and positivity

11.) Stay close with God--Praise and go to Him in both good and bad times

Spiritually Speaking Sunday...

I had a really tough week this past week and honestly I wouldn't have been able to get through it without God. He once again showed me just how amazing he is!!!

Something else I realized this week was I need to not just get close to God when I'm in crisis. I should stay with him in through the good and bad cause he's there with me always.

I'm going to try my hardest not to be a "roller coaster" Christian. But let my walk with God be more like a stroll through the park.

I need to put my faith and trust in God and not be a silly doubter of what he can do!

Once again my daily devotions form Proverbs 31 Ministries were a great blessing! I really encourage you ladies to head over there!!

I also encourage all of you to take time the Christmas season and remember all the blessing God has provided for you. (I don't like saying take time to celebrate when Jesus was born because he wasn't born in December but closer to March. Sorry it's just the historian in me -lol-).

Heres to the men who love us, the losers who lost us, and the lucky bastards who get to meet us...

Last night I got to have drinks with my Bestie and co-author of this blog! I had a GREAT time and can not wait to see her again!!!!! It’s just so nice to talk to someone who really understands what you’re going through.

I would right more but I’ve been battling sinus issues ALLLL day (I wish the weather would make up it’s mind cause when it can’t my sinuses get upset and I suffer!!!)

Before I go back to my day of laying around trying to get better, I found this today and thought I would sure it with you.

"A southern belle is a girl who knows full and well that she can open a door for herself but prefers for the gentleman to do it because it demonstrates a sense of respect. After all, every girl wants to be treated like a princess. We know how to make sweet tea and grits while telling you everything about any football eam in the SEC. We pick our battles and fight with the heart of a pit bull while still maintaining grace and elegance. Our mystique is that of a soft-spoken, mild-mannered southern bell who could direct an army, loves her momma and will always be daddy's little girl."

Loves it so true!

Dear Santa, Let Me Explain...

After seeing The Adventures of Candy Graham post, I got inspired to write one of my own.

So, here are 5 other laps (besides Santa) that I'd like to visit this year...

1.) Matthew McConaughey -- Now, I don't usually go for the whole muscle look but boy is fine and he has that adorable Southren accent to boot. Best of all he has this lovely little habit of playing the bongos nekkie. OH LA LA!

2.) Gabe Saporta -- I'm ooooobesssed with Jewish boys why I don't know but I am. So on top of already having that going for him he can sing, play the guitar, dresses well, is extremely intelligent and above all else is funny as hell. All things I look for in a guy.

3.) Carey Grant -- Funny and hott

4.) Harris Ford -- BONJOUR! The man just keeps getting hotter. And he was fucking Han Solo and Indy!!!! I'd hunt Nazis or take a spin on the Millenium Falcon with him any day!

5.) Ewan McGregor -- Oh, that accent. mmmmmmmmm

Runners-Up not quite top 5 but too good not to mention...

Adam Sandler -- Like I said above I love funny Jewish boys. And look at how cute he looks in his glasses

Matthew Lillard -- Don't judge -lol-

Putting That Fashion Degree To Work...

WARNING TWI POST BELOW...

Since I'm lazy I'm just now writing about mine and my nieces adventure (aka going to see New Moon). I'm happy to report that I didn't need to beat up any annoying fan girls/creepy mothers.

Me and my niece had an awesome time! I did however wish the BF was there with me so I would have had someone to make dirrty/inappropriate jokes with. Cause the 10 year old wasn't getting it -lol- KIDDING I did NOT tell them to my niece. Nope I was saying them to myself and looking like a jackass as I tried to hold back laughter.

Before I went I read a review that talked about who they couldn't help but see the whole werewolf secert as code for coming out of the closet and OMG I soo see it too!!! When Jacob said "it's not something I chose I was born this way" that was def one of the me looking like a jackass wanting to BF to be there to laugh with times!! Also Bella taking VIRGIN airways to Italy and the gratuitous slow mo of Edward walking with wind blowing on him (you know super model style)  ahahahahahahahhahahaha.

I admit it the werewolf boys were RIIIPPED. I'm not a fan of the whole muscle look but they were looking good. However that is NO excuse for what I head escape the lips of a 'mature' fan when Jacob took his shirt off for the first time (another part that made me LOL) she screamed "WOOO HOOO!" Yeah it's ok to say that shit to yourself but the boy could be her son and she's cat calling him. Ew! I felt bad for her daughter.

In the end I felt the same way about the movie as I did the book. LOVED the beginning and end but the whole werewolf shit and Bella being WAY to codependent parts in the middle I could have done without. If you're not a fan of the books I'd wait until it comes out on DVD (that way you can fast forward through the shitty parts).

The makeup and effects (the sparkle was MUCH better this time around) were better expect...for my poor Jasper's wig. WHAT THE FUCK it was AWWWWWFFFUL!!! Like who's idea was that!?

Like that's really the best they could do??

I'm tres tres tres excited for Eclipse. It was by far my fav book out of the 4 and I have really high hopes for David Slade. (You better not disappoint me David!!!)

Pic time....

Preparing by watching Twilight the night before

Making a headband out of my Team Twitarded button (LOVE those ladies! Sooo funny)

Yay! Headbands!

I also wore my "Edward" lotion I got off of Esty (it's smells really good in case you were wondering). Yeah I was all themed out but in a cute non in your face way -lol-

An Open Letter To Fan Girls...

Dear Fan Girls,

I already passed this advice on to some of you but this is a very important topic, so I feel the need to also say it here.

Ladies, I want to impart some wisdom to you that I learned long ago. Just because the the object of your desire has a girlfriend or gets caught holding a girl's hand (that is not attached to you) at an airport. Are NOT reasons to freak out and say your life is over!!

The chances that he will pick you out of the crowd Bruce Springsteen style (see video below because I know that most of you are 12 and don't know what I'm referring to here) are pretty much the same whether or not he's single. And just so you know, you have a better chance of winning the lottery then being the next Grace Kelly (Now, there's a role model! Ladies google her now!).

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk8VZgJkpeg
(I tried putting the video up here but Youtube blows and the embedding on all of them was disabled, so go watch it and come right back here and read the rest of my letter!!!)

So, please untwist your panties and stop sending the poor girlfriends death threats. Just remember you still have the same shot at him as before. Oh speaking of death threats, throwing yourself at the object of your desire causing him and/or you to be thrown into on coming traffic, shrieking in his face when you meet him are NOT the ways to make him whisk you away to Jersey and marry your ass! No, that's a one way ticket to becoming BFF's with his security. So, please for everyone's sake and sanity (and ears) please stop acting like fools! Act like the well mannered ladies I know you can be.

Before I leave you I want to tell you about a young lady like yourselves. She was ooobbbesssed with Billy Joe from Green Day (Don't judge!) and one day she heard that he was getting married. And let me tell you her panties where most def in a big old twist over this news. She was so upset and HATED this unworthy ugly hoe who was stealing her man! That is until an older and wiser friend told her the same advice I just gave to you. Who was like crazy young lady you ask...yeap, it was me.

So, there's hope ladies you too can become enlightened and rise above being a fan girl! And one day when you meet an silly young lady who reminds you of yourself you can pass this advice along to her.

With Love,
B

Fuck'em If They Can't Take A Joke...

Ok, I'm going to get a lil deep with everyone today (so if you're not up for that go to our "Past Musings" and re read about the Vamp -lol-)

I feel the need to explain a little bit about something and since I'm better with writing things out rather then talking I'm going to explain myself on here. Until recently I never had that BAND you know that one that you can really identify with for whatever reason. What's the band you ask well thats what I need to explain a little -lol- It's Cobra Starship.

Before I talk about me you need a little background on the band first to fully understand everything...

Gabe used to be the lead singer of Midtown but he left when he felt the the songs he was writing were just getting to be a little too personal and well Emo. He just felt like he was losing his FUN side. So he formed Cobra Starship to let his FUN side out.

Ok now ME (hehe)...

I've come to the realization that I too was losing my FUN side and this is honestly no ones fault but my own. It was from a combo of a lot of things.  Including being sick (since last year), losing my Grandma, and droping out/going back too school. Through all of those things and some others I lost what I loved most about myself that I was a damn good time. When I went out I was the LIFE of the party. But somewhere I lost that and I HATED it more then anything! I just wasn't happy with anything.

Then while listening to Cobra I just totally identified with Gabe's lyrics and I realized why I wasn't really happy I needed to find my FUN again. I started to remember the words I used to live by "Don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out alive." It also is a reminder to not let what everything thinks matter to me cause you're never going to please everyone. The whole world is never going to like you or approve of what you're doing so don't worry about it. Just do what makes you happy.

That's why I love them so much. Every song is a reminder to me to actually LIVE life and not get drugged back down into the place I hate. To fuck'em if they can't take a joke!

I'm going to leave you know with some of my fav songs.
FANGS UP!

Hello Bombshell...

Ok I HAVE to talk about how obsessed I am with Victoria Secret's new bra-- the Miraculous push-up bra. It's supposed to make you 2 cups sizes bigger.  I mean come on what girl doesn't want that! Now, I'm not flat or anything but the boob fairy def past me up a little. And I've always joked about how I want my boobs done so I can be a C (I just think that's like the perfect size, why I don't know it just sounds good -lol-)

Cute right?

Any ways, The only problem is I don't know anyone whose actually bought it, and before I shell out $50 on a bra I want to make sure it delivers! So if any one of you lovely readers either have this bra or know someone who has it please let me know if it's worth it or not.

THANKS!!!!

Coolest Aunt EVER....

Who am I referring to in the title?? ME of course -lol-  I'm awesome (and modest, as you can clearly tell =p ) So why am I the coolest Aunt ever, it's because I'm taking my niece to see New Moon! I know I know I said I was going to wait to see it (cause I'm deathly afraid of Fan Girls) but we're going the Sunday after it opens during the afternoon so it shouldn't be too bad (Please God let it not be too bad hehe)

In honor of that (and more so cause it's pisses off the BF) I wanted share this really funny post from Letter to Twilight it's about what music Stephanie was really listening to! I agree 100%.

Confession Time...

Like I've said before I'm a proud nerd. Thanks to my daddy I grew up with a love of all things nerdy, Sci Fi, and of course British humour related.

This leads me to my confession, if I could dress Steampunk 24/7 I would. (If you don't know what it is look it up NOW!)

I mean the clothes are pure sex and the jewelry.....le sigh absolutely gorge! http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5558063 BONJOUR! I want it ALL!!!!

But unfortch anyone caught wearing those lovely things outside of a con, faire, or Halloween would be looked upon like a complete wacko. But once post apocalypse happens for real, I'll be ready with my killer steampunk wardrobe!

Halloween Challenge Update....

So, I ended up making the birthday cake costume cause I found the prefect skirt for it for $3. (click the pics to see a bigger version)

Here's the cost brake down...

Skirt- $3
Tank -$1 (after my Goodwill college ID discount!!!!!)
Candels- $.75
Headband- I used one I had but you can get a pack of 3 for around $4 at Walmart (so about $1.30 per headband)
Fishnet Tights-$5
White Opaque Tights-$5
Iron on Transfer paper- I used the transfer paper because I found a pack at home (it's about $8 for 6 sheets at Walmart) but you could also paint the words on which is what I had originally planned on doing.

TOTAL- $14.75

As you can see thanks to using some things that I already had I was able to stay well with in my $10-$20 range = ) I still trying to figure out what earings, bracelets, and necklaces I'm going to wear with it. Also I'm not sure if I want to wear no gloves, long white gloves, or short lace gloves.

For the top all I did was type out "Happy Birthday" in photoshop, flip the image, and print it onto the transfer paper. My original plan (before I found the transfer paper) was to use good old acrylic paint and just paint the words on. Either way it's the same level of easiness it just depends on what you happen to have one hand = )

The hardest part of this costume was the candle crown! I got so pissed at it I finally just gave it to my dad and told him to "make it work" -lol- and some how he did. So I'm sorry but I can't give exact instructions on how it was made. I'm pretty sure it involved at least 3 types of glue and sandpaper -lol-

My biggest find of this whole outfit was that skirt I already have plans to use it next year too! It's saying wear we with a Southern Belle or Marie Antoinette costume!!!!!

So what do you think??  (I'll post pics of me in it once I get back from vaca)

The $10 Challenge...

After talking with my Aunt (who has cruised over Halloween before) I found out that there a costume contest and people go like ALL out. Now, I LOOOVE Halloween and my whole life I've always had kick ass, cute, creative costumes. That either my grandma made for me or I made myself (I despise store bought costumes, they lack creativity and you know like 20 other girls are going to be wearing the same thing!)

All of this made me realize that I def need to step up my game and unfortch Rachel Zoe isn't going to cut it. I needed to think of a costume that wasn't only creative but was instantly recognizable with 90% of the population. After a lot of thought I've come up with 3 choices.

-Glinda from Wicked (the opening number "Bubble" dress)
-A Birthday cake
-A bunny coming out of a top hat

I also thought it would be fun to give myself a little challenge with this costume...I have to make it on a budget of $10 (well actually not really a budget but a range $10-$20). That is also how I'm going to pick which costume I'm going to wear--whichever one I can make for $10-$20 is what I'm going to be.

The only downside to this is I'm going to have to take less shoes to make room for my costume = (

I'll keep you all updated!!!!

DIY

So, my beloved Vera Pink Elephant wallet finally had to be retired (it was falling apart). But I just couldn't bear to part with it so I re-purposed it into a new headband!

I 'm sorry I didn't take pics during the process (next time I do a DIY I def will!!!)

Basically I took the wallet (which was a Travel Wallet in Pink Elephant by Vera Bradley) apart with a seam ripper and small scissors. Be careful when seam ripping though cause I broke my moms seam ripper during this process -lol-

After I had the fabric separated from the wallet base I took the lining (the pink fabric) and covered an old plastic headband with it. I used hot glue to adhere the fabric to the headband.

Finally I cut out the seeds and elephants from the outer fabric (this was the toughest part of the whole project!) and hot glued them on the headband.

That's it! It as super easy and took about an hour from beginning to end. I ended up having a lot of fabric let over, so I'm thinking of what else I can use it for = )

I Die..

So, this year Halloween (one of my fav holidays, I mean what girly girl doesn't love to dress up!) will be spend on the "Big Boat" (what my baby niece call the cruise ship). My whole fam and I will be setting sail to celebrate my sister saying "I do" in Key West.

This leaves me with a problem...what to be! After narrowing down choice I decided to be Rachel Zoe. This was the only one of my options that required the least amount of "extras" to be added to my limited packing space. (My daddy refuses to pay the extra bags fee!! He doesn't understand the my hair and make -up alone could fill one bag!! -lol-)

For me the only "extras" I need to acheive a Rachel look are a Fur vest and a Starbucks cup (thanks to us Americanizing the whole world I'll be able to get one when we dock in Mexico =p ) I already have fur vest (real and vintage thanks to my Grandma!) I can't wait to walk around acting like my fav stylist all day. It's going to be BA NA NAS!!!

Who are you going to channel this Halloween??

Once Upon A Time....

(A little late sorry hehe)

First let me introduce you to my cast of characters.

Princess Christine- Beautiful, charming, funny, smart (but suffered from the occasional 'blonde moments'), funny, love to travel,  and of course loved to shop.

Falcore- The princess's luck dragon. To Princess Christine Falcore was more then a mere pet, she was her baby, the love of her life.

Prince Danger- Upon their first meeting the Prince told our dear Princess that his middle name was Danger and since this tome refers to it's key players by their middle name (to protect their true identities) He shall be called "Prince Danger".

(**Note from Bunny** The following is an excerpt form my novel that is a major WIP)

Once upon a time in a land far far a way....

There lived a beautiful Princess named Christine. Princess Christine was born knowing she was royalty.  She was never seen without a tiara on her head (it's rumored she even slept in one, but that just silly peasant talk. Everyone knows one can not sleep in a tiara it would be mess up ones hair!)

Like all princesses she grew up hearing and loving the story of the great bard, Disney. Her favorite of his tales was Cinderella. She was a true hopeless romantic, that is as long as that romance stayed in the fictional world for once it step over into real life the princess despised romance. She even once yelled at her escort to Andalasia's royal ball because he opened the carriage door for her. Princess Christine made sure to inform all of her would be suitors that she was perfectly capable of opening her own doors, pulling out her owns chairs, and taking care of herself (thank you very much!).  One prince even had the audacity of trying to slay her beloved Falcore!!! He was promptly banished! Princess Christine didn't think that was a harsh enough punishment, she thought that evil prince should've been feed to Falcore!!!

Her favorite song was by the chartreuse Miss Kelly of Clarkson "Miss Independent".

Princess Christine had many princeses pass through her life but she never really took any of them too seriously. Save one that is, Prince Ross.

Prince Ross was Princess Christine's Achilles heal. But their tale is for another day. Let's just say in the end Prince Ross turned out not to be the knight in shining aumor, rather a loser in aluminum foil. He was an impostor prince and undeserving of the amazing Princess Christine.

Princess Christine and Falcore were happy together just the two of them. And she thought that's how it would always be. Just her and her luck dragon with the occasional fling with a prince but never anything to serious.

That is until...

See you next week ;- )
